Ed Roberts Campus: Building Community

“Designing for a diverse community is an opportunity to be creative and to open the world for more people.”
–Susan Henderson, Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund

The Ed Roberts Campus is the first building of its kind in the nation—a non-profit community center serving and celebrating the Independent Living / Disabled Rights Movement. Located at a regional public transit hub in Berkeley, California and integrating advanced strategies of Universal Design and Sustainable Design, the project welcomes and supports people of all abilities.
